April 2018 HSV SRE Monthly Meeting - Society of Reliability Engineers

April 2018 HSV SRE Monthly Meeting

Come join the Huntsville SRE Chapter for our monthly meeting/Presentation on Tuesday, April 10th at 11:00.

The meeting will be held at Siemens Facilities 675 Discovery Dr NW, suite 100, contact Tori Smith at tori.smith2.civ@mail.mil if you need directions and/ or assistance.  There maybe a quick business meeting starting at 11:00 with the technical presentation following immediately .

The technical presentation will be given by Siemens Company beginning shortly after 11:00 am, MADe – General Reliability Demonstration.

What is MADe you might ask?

(Maintenance Aware Design environment)

-MADe is a software tool used by engineers to model parts, components, sub-systems and systems in order to identify and assess potential functional and safety issues in the system design (FMEA / FMECA).

-MADe can be used at all stages of the design process (conceptual, configuration, detail, technology refresh, upgrade) and was developed for complex, integrated, multi-domain systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electronic).

How does MADe relate to RAM?

-MADe RAM provides a model-based solution that combines capabilities for Reliability Allocation, Reliability Block Diagrams and Reliability / Availability Analysis with multiple failure distribution methodologies.

– MADe RAM enables engineers to generate design and service recommendations at each stage of the product lifecycle based on simulation analysis that can be aligned with the specific design state / operational configuration.
